tattoo removal
tattoos can be removed... almost
Tattoos can be removed using a variety of methods, but the procedures
are quite expensive, and the results are usually not satisfactory,
often leaving some ink as well as scarring.
Common removal methods include surgical excision
(the physical removal of the tattooed skin), lasering (breakdown
of the ink using a laser), and a variety of other methods.
Laser tattoo removal is presently the most common
form of removal offered today. The process works extremely well
on dark tattoos for people with light colored skin. Unfortunately,
when tattoo inks are similar to skin pigmentation, permant light
spots might develop. This especially true when the client has
dark skin.
I will state again -- tattoo removal is very
expensive and far from perfect. Please think long and hard about
what you want tattooed before you do it!
Having personally had laser based tattoo removal,
I'll say that it hurts MUCH more than a tattoo, and the healing
process is a mess. My results were excellent and rather inexpensive
($200 a session) but its not something one should go into lightly.
